celebrating one year being here

Thanks to the many people that have come by the store just to congratulate us! With Penner & Associates approaching 10 years in business in 2011, we never thought p+a furniture celebrating its 1st year anniversary would garner such attention, and even an article in today's Vancouver Sun ATHOME section by Claudia Kwan. Perhaps surviving one year is an accomplishment in retail!

when people we know do impressive stuff

The nice thing about having our own shop, is that we can sell whatever we want, and we're not talking illegal substances or stolen goods...at least not at the moment.

It's so cool to get to a point in life where friends and colleagues do impressive things like co-author books. The newest addition to p+a's burgeoning book collection is "Agricultural Urbanism: Handbook for Building Sustainable Food Systems in 21st Century Cities", by Janine de la Salle and Mark Holland.

Janine de la Salle, Director of Food Systems Planning at HB Lanarc, has recently been awarded the President’s Award for Young Planners by the Canadian Institute of Planners.
